The weathered wood looks great with my men’s line of products. It’s not a girly look and it’s not too dark. In one picture I paired it up with the rustic chevron with the glass over it. The glass reflects so well that you can’t even see the chevron.

I was looking for a suitable backdrop to photograph Ikebana style flower arrangements - a hobby I am just getting started at. My first thought was a shooting table. They seem to be immposible to purchase during the pandemic. I then went to my local cabinet maker to see if he could cobble something together with mylar and plywood. He was very busy and hasn't gotten back to me on that! Then I stumbled upon Mandy giving a how to lesson on you tube and as soon as I figured out what system she was using for backdrops I placed an order for 7 surfaces.
They came well packed and were super easy to set up. I was up and shooting in no time! I love the weathered wood and slate combo! Dark, moody and great contrast. I did have some issues taming the reflections off the slate backdrop , but I am sure that will get easier with practice. I used a soft box, white reflector and a black flag for the sample photo.
